Squarespace is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our Performance Models & Machine Learning Systems team. As part of our Data Science & Machine Learning team, you will be at the forefront of developing models that protect our revenue and minimize risks from fraud and abuse. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about data science and eager to make a tangible impact on our business and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Engineers, and Product Managers to identify opportunities and provide data science solutions.
• Prototype different approaches to identify the best data solutions for business problems.
• Design, deploy, and maintain production machine learning models in internal and customer-facing applications, such as detecting account takeover attempts and predicting customer intent.
• Monitor and analyze the evolving tactics used by bad actors to stay ahead of emerging threats.
• Improve model performance through iterative testing, tuning, and feature engineering.
• Research advancements in machine learning and data science to evaluate new techniques and technologies for potential application.

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in a Data Science or similar role, or a PhD with a quantitative focus.
• Strong competency with Python and SQL.
• Experience developing statistical or ML models with a demonstrable business impact, particularly in the anti-fraud space.
• Ability to communicate data science solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
