Job Overview
Join Airbus as a Senior Data Scientist in our Lisbon office, where you will be part of the central Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence team. This role involves delivering impactful AI products and services across the entire value chain from selling to servicing aircraft. You will tackle unique challenges at the forefront of AI in the aviation industry, leveraging vast amounts of data and product complexity.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business functions to absorb domain expertise and build analytical insights.
- Translate business challenges into AI opportunities and tackle them with our team.
- Develop AI/ML models end-to-end, from ideation and exploration to deployment and monitoring in cloud environments.
- Support AI capability teams in defining and delivering on AI capability roadmaps.
- Evangelize and establish best practices for AI solutions in our rapidly growing Lisbon office.
- Engage in the global AI and analytics community and grow the local community footprint.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience in data science or a related field.
- Strong understanding of ML algorithms and data handling.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Expertise in NLP, Computer Vision, or Time Series Analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience in customer-facing roles and process optimization.
- Fluent in English.
