Join Our Team as a Senior Data Scientist - Marketing Science
Smartly is seeking an experienced Marketing Science-focused Data Scientist to join our growing Performance team in EMEA. This role is pivotal in ensuring systematic optimization across our customers by analyzing sophisticated systems and communicating findings clearly to customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Quantitative Research: Perform quantitative research to support sales and marketing proof points.
- Thought Leadership: Drive thought leadership in optimization, testing, attribution, and market insights within Smartly and across our customer base.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct performance meta-analyses, vertical research, and develop playbooks based on scientifically sound analytics.
- Customer Consultation: Serve as the day-to-day trusted measurement consultant for key strategic advertisers by analyzing customers’ performance marketing data.
- Communication: Lead customer communication on Smartly optimization features, A/B testing, and sophisticated research results to a general audience.
- Adoption of Best Practices: Drive customer adoption of best standards, measurement methodologies, and products.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years in marketing measurement, analytics, growth marketing, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with structured and unstructured data-sets in Python and SQL.
- Education: Master’s Degree in Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with familiarity with large data sets and data manipulation tools.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Ability and willingness to become an expert in digital performance marketing.
- Collaborative Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues in a customer-facing role.
- Workplace Flexibility: Ability to work from our Berlin or Helsinki office at least 2 days a week (hybrid).
