About The Opportunity
Join Delivery Hero as a Senior Data Scientist in the Vendor Sales domain of the Vendor Data tribe, where you will be instrumental in driving the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models. This role is crucial for enhancing our digital sales strategies and improving vendor acquisition and onboarding processes.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Model Development: Drive the development of machine learning models for menu digitisation services, vendor acquisition strategies, and competitive intelligence insights platform.
- Data Analysis: Analyse large-scale datasets using sophisticated statistical techniques to improve decision-making in vendor acquisition and competitor landscape mapping.
- Research and Innovation: Lead research initiatives to explore emerging trends and technologies in machine learning, contributing to the advancement of our digital sales products and algorithms.
- Team Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert in data science and machine learning, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members.
What You Need to Succeed
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in building and training advanced machine learning models using Python data toolkit (Pandas, CatBoost, PySpark). Experience with NLP or large language models is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in SQL queries for data exploration and analysis.
- Coding and System Skills: Ability to write clean, production-level code and effectively use software versioning tools like Git. Familiarity with cloud systems, ideally GCP.
- Soft Skills: Critical thinking, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous learning.
