Join Marginalen Bank as a Senior Data Warehouse Developer
Marginalen Bank is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse (DWH) Developer to join our Data & Automation team. This role is pivotal in managing and enhancing our existing data warehouse solutions based on SQL Server.
About the Role
As a DWH Developer, you will be a key member of the Data & Automation team, responsible for the development and maintenance of the bank's data warehouse and other BI solutions. You will work both independently and collaboratively with team members and data users across the bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Warehouse Management: Maintain and optimize our existing data warehouse solution to ensure stability and performance.
- Data Modeling: Develop and improve data models using the Kimball methodology.
- ETL Processes: Manage and optimize ETL processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business units to understand their needs and implement necessary changes in data warehouse solutions.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in DWH development and management using SQL Server. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of data storage and data modeling with Kimball.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load).
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI.
- Academic background in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or equivalent.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the banking sector.
- Development experience with Python.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GIT and Azure DevOps.
