Covestro is seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our global Price & Deal Management (P&MD) team. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation and developing innovative solutions that will revolutionize our pricing and deal management processes.
Key Responsibilities

Design and Implement Solutions: You will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality, cloud-native software solutions. This includes everything from infrastructure (as code) to application development, using state-of-the-art industry standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into innovative technical solutions.

Quality Assurance: Establish robust quality assurance processes, including code reviews, testing strategies, and automation.

Architectural Decisions: Collaborate with solution architects to make groundbreaking decisions in architecture and technology evaluations.

Team Development: Actively promote the professional development of team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Engineering Standards: Drive the establishment and adherence to engineering standards, processes, and tools.
Required Skills and Experience

Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent substantial professional experience.

Professional Experience: Extensive experience in software development, ideally 8 years or more.

Technical Expertise: Outstanding expertise in Java/Spring Boot, with knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js as an advantage.

Cloud Platforms: Extensive practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code in cloud platforms such as AWS.

Agile and DevOps Practices: Proficiency in Agile methods, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Containerization: Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Communication Skills: Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
