Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at ZEISS Group, you will be a key player in shaping the future IT landscape of the company. You will work closely with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure that software is delivered on time and with high quality. Your role will involve:
- Coordinating, planning, and implementing site-specific and cross-site CI/CD projects.
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Resource Manager Templates or Terraform to define and manage infrastructure.
- Designing, realizing, and adjusting a component-based architecture.
- Structuring applications and services into independent modules to facilitate maintenance and updates.
- Utilizing microservices to increase the flexibility and independence of various services.
- Implementing a clear versioning strategy for all modules and dependencies to avoid compatibility issues.
- Automating routine tasks such as backups, monitoring, and notifications through scripts.
- Ensuring the security of DevOps processes and infrastructure components in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Completed university degree in a technical/scientific field such as Computer Science, Engineering Informatics, or similar.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, software, and infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of experience in the DevOps field.
- 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps (ideally both cloud and on-prem).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience in source code management with Git or other tools.
- Problem-solving and hands-on mentality.
