Job Overview
Booking.com is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Tech Risk Operations to join our Central Tech - Security department. This pivotal role involves shaping our security posture and communicating risks to leadership and board members. You will lead risk management efforts across multiple domains, including cybersecurity, physical security, fraud, and trust and safety, driving impactful initiatives while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Leadership in Security Risk Management: Lead efforts in safeguarding the organisation's digital and physical assets through robust risk management strategies.
- Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC): Responsibility for GRC for Booking.com SS&F risk subject areas, including policy creation and risk register management.
- First Line of Defence: Oversee the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Program, ensuring compliance and risk management across business units.
- Strategic Vision: Develop long-term strategies and identify budgetary and hiring needs based on strategic goals, risks, and priorities.
- Framework Implementation and Risk Registers: Set up and maintain risk management system frameworks for Cybersecurity, Trust & Safety, Fraud, & Physical Security.
- Communication and Reporting: Ensure timely reporting on risk posture to leadership and relevant collaborators.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to communicate risks and develop remediation plans.
- Adaptability & Continuous Improvement: Respond to changing risk management regulatory requirements and emerging threats.
- Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration: Lead cross-departmental projects to strengthen security posture.
Ideal Experience & Skills
- Substantial experience in Cyber Security or Fraud, with significant leadership experience.
- Skilled in cloud-based security solutions and driving security with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with risk frameworks such as NIST, ERM GDPR, ISO 27001, NYDFS.
- Preferred certifications: CISM, CISSP, COSO ERM.
