Join Snowflake as a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer (Security) / Tech Lead
About the Role
Snowflake is seeking a talented Senior Distributed Systems Engineer with a focus on security to join our European Engineering Center in Warsaw. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is building infrastructure components to solve complex problems involving distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Security Solutions: You will design, develop, and scale security solutions that enable Snowflake employees to achieve their business goals while protecting sensitive customer data.
- Collaborate with Teams: Partner with security, engineering, and product teams to define and set the strategy for security practices and processes.
- Lead Projects: Lead and manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 8+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large-scale cloud services.
- Technical Skills: Strong development skills in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, C, C++, Go.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Experience working with infrastructure from major cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
- Education: BS in Computer Science; Masters or Ph.D. preferred.
- Language: Fluency in English.
