Job Overview
Amazon is seeking an experienced and business-oriented Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead the capacity, capital planning, and project execution for the continued expansion of our EU fulfillment network. This role is pivotal in managing large-scale engineering projects from planning and feasibility through to design, installation, commissioning, qualification, launch, and support.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of large-scale engineering projects.
- Coordinate critical path items and dive deep on technical details.
- Provide innovative solutions to resolve issues.
- Assess and communicate project status across multiple teams.
- Manage escalations on potential risks and delays.
- Prepare and conduct weekly standing meetings with internal teams and external vendors/contractors.
- Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions that align with business needs and global design standards.
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as World-Wide Engineering, Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, IT, and Procurement.
A Day in the Life
You will interact daily with a variety of functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization across multiple time zones. Your day will involve conducting multiple weekly meetings to plan and manage deliverables, liaising with subject matter experts to refine and improve processes, and staying agile to manage business changes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Extensive project management experience in a large, global environment.
- Proven ability to lead project teams and manage engineering contractors in an operational setting.
- Demonstrated capability to provide large-scale continuous improvement on deployment efficiency and process establishment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills, capable of leading teams without direct management authority.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to shift between detailed analysis and big-picture thinking.
- Comfortable presenting to and facilitating decisions among senior leaders based on evolving priorities.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management tools and operational, reliability, and maintenance processes.
