Job Overview
Join Amazon Robotics as a Senior Software Development Engineer to impact the world of robotics and automation. In this role, you will be part of the Vulcan Stow team, focusing on building high-performance, real-time robotic systems that can perceive, learn, and act intelligently alongside humans at Amazon scale. This position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology in AI, machine learning, computer vision, and robotics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement software for robotic systems, including computer vision systems, ML and AI models.
- Take end-to-end ownership of decision explanation, fault detection, monitoring, A/B testing, large scale model training, simulation, and hardware integration.
- Collaborate with a team to plan the roadmap, design ML systems, and ensure the integration and functionality of various software components.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in programming with languages such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in full software development life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Specific experience in robotics, production-level machine learning, computer vision, or hardware integration.
Location
This position is based in North Reading, MA, USA. Candidates should be open to relocation if not currently residing in this area.
