About the Role

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Tech Product Manager Co-op for a 6-month full-time position starting in July 2024. This role is based in the Greater Boston Area, specifically in our state-of-the-art facilities in Westborough, MA and North Reading, MA. As a co-op, you will have direct access to robotics testing labs and manufacturing facilities, providing a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities

  • Product Opportunity Identification: Determine operational and systems requirements for new products.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal support, operations, and engineering teams to guide key product decisions using technical analysis, simulation, and data.
  • Documentation: Prepare user and training documentation to support product launches and operations.
  • KPIs and Goals: Establish and monitor team KPIs and goals to track progress.
  • Presentations: Deliver analyses and progress reports within the team and to organizational leaders.

About You

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing an MBA or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related Engineering fields.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in product management or a related field, with experience spanning both software and hardware products.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to Amazon sites across the USA for direct customer interaction and product understanding.

Amazon Robotics enhances customer experiences through automation by utilizing autonomous mobile robots, sophisticated control software, and advanced technologies like machine learning and computer vision. The Product Management and Excellence (PME) Organization within Amazon Robotics is dedicated to developing robotic solutions that tackle challenging material handling problems at scale.

  • Location: North Reading, MA, USA
  • Duration: 6 months, full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Start Date: July 2024
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with UX and/or Industrial Design, Human Machine Interaction, and a demonstrated ability to influence others and drive results.
