Role Overview

As a Robotics Systems Engineer, you will be a key member of the Amazon Robotics deployment team, overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Amazon Robotics equipment within new and existing fulfillment centers. This field engineering-based role requires proven technical skills related to the deployment of robotic equipment, including work with mechanical, electrical, networking, and software systems during a deployment.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a team of 1-5 engineers supporting an on-site project manager to provide technical oversight on the installation of both third-party and Amazon-designed robotics equipment.
Collaborate extensively with third-party installers, contracted engineers, construction, hardware, software, IT, and many other partner teams.
Develop process documentation and modify existing processes in partnership with project and program managers to drive business performance and sustainability.
Handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering or closely related STEM field.
Experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems.
Ability to read technical drawings and/or CAD models to resolve on-site clash issues using 3D clash detection reports.
Proficiency in standard office software tools and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in a field engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
Proven experience working on hardware integration or complex mechanical-electrical or networked industrial equipment.
Practical understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP).
