Flow Traders is seeking a Trading Reliability Engineer to join our expanding Digital Assets team in Amsterdam. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a leading proprietary trading firm known for its entrepreneurial and innovative culture. Key Responsibilities
- Gain Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our latency-sensitive trading application stacks. Contribute to troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment and implement effective solutions.
- Monitoring Solutions: Write, test, and integrate monitoring solutions using APIs provided by our proprietary trading applications to gain insights into the health and performance of our trading environment.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with system administrators to fine-tune Linux-based trading environments using the latest tools and distributions.
- Automation: Work on automating our infrastructure and application management processes.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Build, use, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- User Acceptance Testing: Conduct testing across internal application stacks and understand how traders and supporting teams utilize our software.
- Technical Requirements: Provide technical requirements to the development process to enhance the operational effectiveness of our applications.
- Scripting Skills: Advance your Python or other scripting skills by working with trading desks to automate complex workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields.
- Experience: 0-4 years of commercial experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, and programming languages such as Python or C++.
- Networking: Basic knowledge and interest in networking.
- Cryptocurrency: Experience with cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies is advantageous.
- Technologies: Familiarity with Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and HDFS is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
