Acai Travel is a fast-growing, VC-funded B2B AI SaaS startup revolutionizing the travel industry with AI-driven technology. We are currently in the seed stage with approximately $4M raised and have gained significant traction with leading brands like World Travel Inc., Globespan, kiwi.com, and lastminute.com. Our team is based in New York and Barcelona, and we are backed by top industry veterans.
What You’ll Do
- Build the Frontend: Lead the development of our user-facing applications using TypeScript, React, and Next.js to create a seamless, responsive, and dynamic user experience.
- Collaborate Closely: Work hand-in-hand with our backend engineers, designers, and product team to deliver features that align with our vision and meet our users' needs.
- Own the UI: Be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the frontend codebase. Ensure high performance and responsiveness across different devices and platforms.
- Innovate: Contribute to the development of new features and improvements, bringing creative solutions to complex problems.
- Optimize for Scale: Focus on optimizing applications for speed and scalability, ensuring a smooth experience as our user base grows.
What We’re Looking For
- Frontend Expertise: 3+ years of experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js. A strong grasp of modern frontend development practices and principles.
- UI/UX Focus: Passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces with a keen eye for detail.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Comfortable discussing design choices and technical solutions with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Problem Solver: Ability to think critically and solve complex problems efficiently.
- Experience with Modern Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Vercel, build tools (Webpack, Babel), unit testing, etc.
Bonus Points For
- Design Skills: Experience working closely with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
- Testing: Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or similar.
- SEO & Performance: Understanding of SEO best practices and performance optimization in frontend development.

Location
We’re a hands-on team that thrives on in-person collaboration. Our office is a dynamic, startup environment where we whiteboard and problem-solve together every day. We’re currently only considering candidates based in Barcelona with legal work authorization. At this stage, we cannot provide visa support.
