Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team. This is a remote position, offering you the opportunity to work from anywhere while contributing to our digital transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, Develop, and Implement: Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software solutions using Microsoft technologies such as .NET, SharePoint, C#, ASP.NET, React, TypeScript, T-SQL, Web API, Azure, SQL Server, and other related tools.
- Architect and Implement: Create scalable, secure, and maintainable applications that follow best practices and design principles.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather and refine project requirements and specifications.
- Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to established coding standards and practices.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve software development processes and product quality.
- Data Solutions: Develop modern data reporting/visualization solutions to provide insights and empower business with data-driven decision-making.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and user guides.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in a timely manner.
- Industry Trends: Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Agile Collaboration: Collaborate in a Lean and Agile team structure using Jira and GitHub.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience: 5+ years in developing applications on .NET, Office 365: SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, IIS.
- Business Intelligence: Experience with Microsoft suite of Business Intelligence tools PowerBI, Power automate, SSAS, SSIS.
- Full Stack Development: 5+ years of Full Stack development exposure and Web Development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VueJS, React, Angular, JQuery.
- Database Familiarity: Familiarity with Databases SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Oracle, RDS.
- Cloud Services: 2+ years exposure to Cloud services and architecture: Azure and/or AWS.
- Languages: Experience with JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Change Management: Exposure to change management, production maintenance, metrics tracking, and triage process.
- API Development: Skills in API development/deployment.
- Project Management: Experience managing projects with cross-functional disciplines.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate business requirements and technical plans to technical & non-technical team members.
