We are Birdie, innovators in the social care space through our software products. In 2023, we enabled 30 million care visits, expanded into new markets, and grew our team significantly. As part of TechNation's FutureFifty 2024 cohort, we are poised for further scaling and impact.
What will I be doing?
You will work alongside passionate individuals in a strong engineering culture, taking ownership and solving problems. Our product is complex, requiring speed and precision in development. You will be involved in various projects across teams, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems.
Data and Security Team
- Focus on backend data migration pipeline
- Improve system reliability and developer experience
- Work with Elixir and complex logic
Rostering Team
- Develop backend services using new languages for performance enhancement
- Maintain code quality through best practices and regular feedback
Chickens Team
- Work on a green-field project with a focus on backend, frontend, and mobile
- Experiment with technologies like Tamagui, ts-rest, Drizzle ORM
- Use TDD and automated pipelines for efficient development
Skills for Success
- Proficiency in React & React Native, NodeJS, TypeScript
- Experience with relational databases and automated testing
- Knowledge of common design patterns
- Strong communication skills and ability to drive projects to completion
