Senior Fullstack Software Developer (Java, AWS, Kafka)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Developer to join our team on a freelance basis. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site work in Nuremberg, Germany. You will be working on a critical project that supports the implementation of the Registermodernisierungsgesetz, a key legislative initiative in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Enterprise Software: Create critical software modules using Scrum methodologies.
Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify, analyze, and resolve software issues.
Technical Leadership: Lead project teams and provide technical guidance.
DevOps Practices: Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Flux and GitHub Actions.
Architectural Development: Contribute to the conceptual development of online service architectures.

Required Skills and Experience

Extensive Experience: At least 7 years of experience in agile software development processes.
Technical Expertise: Proficient in Java, Quarkus, Apache Kafka, REST, AWS S3, Kubernetes, Flux CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and MariaDB.

Project Background

The project aims to facilitate the capture and retrieval of identity data, aligning with the Registermodernisierungsgesetz. This involves:

Introducing a unified ID number.
Connecting to the Identity Data Retrieval Procedure (IDA).
Preparing for integration with the Data Protection Cockpit (DSC).
Deciding on the optional piloting of an application case.
