Job Description
Join Accolite as a Senior Java Software Engineer and be part of a dynamic team that designs, develops, tests, and deploys Java-based software applications. You will utilize the Java Spring and Spring Batch frameworks to build scalable and high-performance applications. Your role will involve creating and maintaining ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading into databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based software applications using the Java Spring and Spring Batch frameworks.
- Utilize the Spring framework to build scalable and high-performance applications.
- Create and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading into databases.
- Model and design databases to support software applications, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, and quality assurance specialists, to deliver software solutions that meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues and provide technical support to clients as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java and Spring.
- Strong understanding of database design principles and experience working with databases such as DB2, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience using Splunk or other logging platforms.
- Hands-on experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desired Skills
- Agile Experience (SCRUM, Kanban).
- Continuous integration (Maven, Gradle, Artifactory).
- Exposure to Azure and cloud-based application development.
- Test automation (Cucumber, Selenium, Protractor).
- Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) experience.
