Senior Backend Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of on-site and remote work. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in Java development and a strong background in building high-speed, real-time solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Support the development of real-time and batch applications to meet business requirements within an agreed architecture framework and Agile environment.
- Requirement Analysis: Thoroughly analyze requirements, develop, test, and document software to ensure quality and proper implementation.
- SDLC Procedures: Follow agreed-upon Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures to ensure all information system products and services meet quality standards, functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, and security rules.
- Risk Analysis: Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements.
- Production Support: Assist production support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as required.
- Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely any time delays or defects in the software to appropriate team members and management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Over 10 years of experience in Java development.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java (version 8 onwards), Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with REST APIs and Apache Flink.
- Experience with various types of databases, including relational and NoSQL.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with frameworks like Junit and Citrus.
- Experience with event-driven systems and working with Kafka.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Work Environment
This position is based in Fort Worth, TX, and follows a hybrid work model, allowing for both on-site and remote work.
