Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Job Description Summary:

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering at Rocket Software Lithuania will be responsible for managing a global team of software and/or quality engineers focused on building world-class software. This role involves engaging with executive level leadership to accomplish strategic product development and quality goals, inspiring a culture of innovation, and leading the direction for design and implementation of software features/functionality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Engage with executive leadership to accomplish strategic product development and quality goals.
• Inspire a culture of innovation within the team, ensuring leadership in the industry.
• Lead and set direction for design and implementation of software features/functionality, testing, correction of defects, and creation of new products.
• Responsible for leading the development and quality assurance teams to review customer requirements, hold design meetings, conduct peer code reviews, and ensure the team is delivering the correct requirements.
• Coach and mentor team members of all skill levels to perform optimally.
• Build out the development and testing teams in the region and assist in training new team members.
• Ensure that bug fixes are released in a timely manner and that the development team is responsive to the global technical support team.
• Implement corporate policies regarding product development processes, standards, and automation, ensuring adherence to these standards for efficient operation.
• Track the activity of all global developer and test staff members to plan for future innovation and meet customer expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience managing a team of technical engineers.
• Proven track record of synthesizing multiple internal and external sources of input into product requirements.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a globally dispersed team.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary Information:

The annual salary range for this position is between €66,220.00 - €122,980.00 gross before taxes. Salary range applies only to candidates in Lithuania. Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
