Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for developing the backend components of all Bitfinex services, including our main trading application, Bitfinex Pay, Lightning Network support, and blockchain integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- New Products and Features: Develop and deploy innovative features using agile methodologies to enhance the trading experience for our customers.
- Scalability: Ensure all backend services remain smooth, responsive, and real-time as the platform scales to accommodate new user growth.
- Security: Build API services and backend processes with the highest security standards to protect our user base.
Required Skills
- Exceptional skills in Node.js and JavaScript.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Strong background in database interaction, particularly with MySQL and MongoDB.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Good understanding of security practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with blockchain integration.
- Familiarity with high-availability concepts.
- Skills in Ruby, Rust, or C++.
- Knowledge of message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues.
