Job Overview
Join Bitstamp, the world's longest-running crypto exchange, as a Software Engineer in our Crypto Division within the Product Engineering Department. You will be part of a dynamic team tasked with building the next generation of crypto-services for our customers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems using Python or Go.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in the cryptocurrency space, blockchain technology, and trading strategies to incorporate new features and improvements into the platform.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to software engineering best practices.
- Apply software development best practices such as unit testing, code review, test automation, and continuous delivery to produce high-quality software.
- Prepare detailed design documents and testing strategies according to requirements.
Requirements
- Professional knowledge and experience in backend development (Python, optionally Go).
- Solid understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, and the DeFi ecosystem.
- Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production-ready software.
- Experience with development best-practices (test-driven development, code reviews, tech specs).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to take a pragmatic approach in solving complex programming problems.
- Active knowledge of the English language and good communication skills.
