About The Role
The engineering team at Finix is responsible for the delivery and stability of our product from end to end. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in envisioning superior technical solutions to our customers’ payment needs, leading their implementation, and ensuring reliable service. You will have broad autonomy and responsibility for formulating the best solutions and working with your peers to deliver your vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Deep Dive into Customer Needs: Collaborate with product management to define new services that meet our customers' needs.
- Technical Vision and Implementation: Own the technical vision, implementation, best practices, and infrastructure within your domain.
- Collaboration: Develop close relationships with product management and peer engineers.
- Domain Expertise: Become an expert in your payments domain and mentor junior software engineers.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively improve our architecture, frameworks, tooling, automation, and best practices.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have 6+ years of experience in building and designing systems with several lifecycles.
- Technical Acumen: Extensive experience in implementing secure APIs, and highly available and observable services.
- Mentor: You have led and mentored more junior software engineers.
- Multi-tasker: You can manage multiple competing priorities and have a strong ability to multitask.
- Proactive: Always looking for ways to grow, opportunities to mentor, and collaborate with peers.
