Job Description Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer at GE HealthCare, you will be tasked with defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast-paced and agile development environment. You will work closely with Product Line Leaders to understand product requirements and vision, translating these into a prioritized list of user stories to deliver to required timelines and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi-generation software technology plans.
- Drive increased efficiency across teams, eliminating duplication, and leveraging product and technology reuse.
- Support process improvements that guide development, sustaining, and support activities.
- Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products.
- Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge.
- Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean, Agile, XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques.
- Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
- Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics, or related field.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in Software Applications Development.
- Experience with Java or JEE, Spring boot or Spring, Unix or Linux based programming, BDD or Cucumber, Perforce or GIT, Artifactory, Gradle or Maven, Docker, and configuration management tools.
