The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer focusing on the back end at Rent the Runway, you will be part of a dynamic team that tackles significant challenges in product development and software architecture. Your main responsibilities will include enhancing the functionality, quality, and performance of our services, integrating product data with our in-house systems, and building tools for partnering teams. You will work in an agile environment, contributing to the continuous improvement of our software delivery processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and robust back-end services.
- Work on cloud migration projects, optimizing system performance and ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles and design patterns.
- Experience with cloud technologies and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Dropwizard, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
