About the Role
Vinted is seeking a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Go to join our Transactional Experience team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless transactional experience for our members. You will be responsible for implementing business logic and writing APIs that our mobile and web platforms can use. Your work will directly impact our platform's ability to handle a wider scale and improve user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance member experiences, focusing on pricing and discounts.
- Contribute to the development of new services and drive significant changes.
- Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work.
- Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
- Write unit tests (RSpec) for all code you write.
- Work with one of the largest Ruby on Rails codebases in the world, alongside technologies like MySQL, Memcached, Elasticsearch, and more.
- Break down large monoliths into smaller, manageable components and services.
- Craft code capable of handling over 2M requests per minute and calculating prices up to 10000 times per second.
- Monitor deployed code through Kibana, Grafana, and DataDog.
- Own SLIs/SLOs in the product team.
- Partner across teams to prioritize and deliver results.
About You
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful services.
- Proficient in Go, with a passion for building scalable and efficient backend systems.
- Willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
- Familiarity with Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, Systems Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, and Event Driven Architecture.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Salary
The salary range for this position is €59,700 - €80,700 gross per year.
