About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Vinted, you will join the Backend Technologies team within the Marketplace Technologies domain. This team is dedicated to reducing the cognitive load of other Marketplace teams by standardizing common backend functionality and tools. You will work alongside experienced backend engineers, ensuring a collaborative environment where you can discuss and develop your ideas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop platform capabilities that assist all Marketplace engineers in building scalable systems.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering teams to evolve applications and infrastructure.
- Shape the architecture of our service ecosystem.
- Consult with other engineers on building robust systems with high availability.
- Craft code that impacts over 80 million users and handles more than 10 million requests per minute.
- Participate in an on-call rotation every 5-6 weeks.

About You
- At least 3 years of experience in building large-scale applications.
- Strong communication skills, capable of discussing complex topics in detail.
- Eager to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
- Familiarity with disciplines such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, performance optimization, and monitoring is a plus.

Salary
The salary range for this position is €48,000 - €80,700 gross per year.
