About the Role
Vinted is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Transactional Experience domain. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless transactional experience for our members once they place an order. As a Backend Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional Product Engineering team, working alongside mobile platform engineers, web engineers, and other backend engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Collaborate with your team to shape features that enhance our members' experiences.
- Agile Practices: Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work to ensure efficient and effective development processes.
- Code Quality: Engage in code reviews and write unit tests (RSpec) for all code you develop. Our setup includes over 10,000 tests running in approximately 5 minutes through Jenkins.
- Scalability: Work on one of the largest Ruby on Rails codebases globally, handling over 2 million requests per minute and 12-15 transactions per second.
- System Monitoring: Use tools like Kibana, Grafana, and DataDog to monitor deployed code and ensure system reliability.
- Collaboration: Partner effectively across teams to prioritize and deliver results.

Salary
The salary range for this position is €78,504 - €106,104 gross per year.
