Role Overview
Join our Core Commerce Organization, which is vital to our business operations. This team handles essential services such as Subscriptions, Orders, Customers, Credits, Discounts, Shipping, Taxes, and Shopify integrations. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead the design and implementation of these services, ensuring scalability and reliability.
What You'll Do
- Develop high-performance, scalable products that enable smooth feature delivery.
- Write robust backend and potentially frontend code focusing on scalability, testability, and maintainability.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively.
- Debug production issues across the stack and perform thorough code reviews.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate readiness to tackle various challenges.
Who You Are
- Experienced in backend technologies like Python and Node.js, and familiar with frontend technologies including JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Skilled in cloud computing platforms like GCP, and tools like Kubernetes and Serverless.
- A problem solver who can engineer simple solutions for complex problems.
- A team player who thrives in a remote, collaborative environment.
Experience / Education / Qualifications
- Typically, 3+ years of relevant full-stack development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in cloud computing and prior ecommerce experience is preferred.
