Join Pave as a Senior Software Engineer - Developer Platform
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Platform team at Pave, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing scalable, secure cloud infrastructure. Your role will involve creating development tooling and processes that empower Pave engineers to deliver enterprise-quality software with high velocity. You will provide technical leadership, offering design and architectural guidance to product teams, and help shape Pave’s technical roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Design and manage enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure to meet the security and compliance needs of Pave’s most sophisticated customers.
- Enhance Development Experience: Develop a best-in-class development experience by equipping engineers with the tools necessary for rapid, high-quality software development.
- Develop Foundational Components: Create foundational components and patterns with built-in security, observability, and performance, allowing product engineers to focus on customer value.
- Define and Drive Best Practices: Establish engineering best practices and drive their adoption across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years in cloud infrastructure and backend software development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using observability tooling to monitor, profile, and optimize web applications.
- Security: Experience incorporating security best practices in large technical designs.
- Leadership: High developer empathy and experience leading large technical projects with high ambiguity and numerous stakeholders.
- Execution Oriented: Eager to design technical solutions and drive implementation.
