Overview
Join Smartsheet as a Senior Software Engineer II, where you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to building scalable back-end services for the next generation of applications. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable back-end services using Kotlin, Java, and modern cloud infrastructure like AWS and Kubernetes.
- Solve challenging distributed systems problems.
- Lead code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers on code quality and industry best practices.
- Forge strong partnerships with product management and other key business areas.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience in building highly scalable applications.
- Extensive experience with Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience in developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
