About the Role
Vimeo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Growth Monetization team. This role is pivotal in helping customers find the perfect product offerings and assisting them as they navigate their upgrade paths. By leveraging advanced technology and innovative strategies, the team aims to optimize revenue while enhancing the user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems, APIs, and services to power monetization strategies.
- Work closely with Design, Product, and Analytics teams to move projects from conception to launch.
- A/B test new features, analyze results, and release improvements iteratively.
- Write clean, well-tested, and performant code for both frontend and backend platforms.
- Support and nurture the technical development of colleagues on the team.
Skills and Knowledge You Should Possess
- Expert proficiency in modern technologies and frameworks such as React, Next, and TypeScript.
- Proficient in crafting systems with a focus on clarity, reusability, testability, and scalability.
- Extensive experience in backend development with a proven track record in PHP technologies.
- An intimate knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server) and data modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, process, and interpret data to drive informed decision-making and optimization.
- Skilled in fostering constructive and productive collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
