Job Overview
JetBrains is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer to join our team in Paphos, Cyprus. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in software engineering and technical support, who is passionate about helping customers and enhancing product quality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into user issues to provide accurate bug localization for our developers.
- Offer technical support for IntelliJ IDEA through ticketing systems, community forums, and social media.
- Understand and empathize with customers, adapting to their skill level and communication style.
- Contribute to product development by addressing common customer problems and needs.
- Collaborate with product managers and quality assurance teams, or even fix minor bugs directly in the master branch.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support and/or software engineering.
- Excellent written English skills.
- Proficient with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of network protocols.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking systems (YouTrack preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, or other IDEs.
- Experience in Java development, especially debugging.
- Experience in a QA position.
- Understanding of Version Control Systems and virtualization technologies like Docker and WSL.
