Role Summary
The Solution Engineer will serve as a technical expert within our sales team, focusing on our Qodana product. This role involves collaborating with the sales and product teams to demonstrate the value of Qodana's offerings through product demonstrations, presentations, and technical pitches. You will also assist in responding to RFPs and RFIs, providing technical insights and aligning our products with customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and technical challenges.
- Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and technical pitches.
- Assist in the response to RFPs and RFIs with technical insights and product alignment.
- Provide technical support and consultation during the sales process.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
- Serve as the liaison between sales, product management, and engineering teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and technical advancements.
- Support the product team with customer feedback to inform future product development.
- Facilitate successful product deployments and assist with post-sale customer support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven technical sales or pre-sales experience, preferably in the software industry.
- Strong foundation in software development practices and lifecycle.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
- Superior presentation and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, presentations, and conferences.
Preferable Skills
- Deep technical expertise in code quality monitoring tools and practices.
- Ability to understand and articulate the technical merits and values of Qodana.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with enterprise customers.
- Skilled at negotiation and influencing others.
- Team player with cross-functional project management skills.
