The Role in a Nutshell
WP Engine is seeking a Senior Web Developer to join our Marketing department. This role involves working remotely on high-traffic, high-performance WordPress sites, utilizing modern technologies and frameworks such as React and Next.js.

Responsibilities
- Develop new components and modify existing ones on our Atlas platform.
- Migrate content and improve tooling and processes.
- Collaborate on security and architecture improvements.
- Participate in pair or mob programming sessions.
- Address business needs and work on a variety of marketing projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding of modern WordPress development.
- Expertise in native block development using React.
- Familiarity with WordPress Block Editor and theme.json.
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience in front-end web development, including HTML and CSS.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WordPress headless frameworks like Atlas or Faust.js.
- Knowledge of Next.js and GraphQL.
- Skills in build and automation tools (Composer, Yarn, Webpack, Docker, CI/CD tools).
- Understanding of automated testing, monitoring, and server administration.
