About the Role

At Expedia Group, we are looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer I to join our People Technology Team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, developing, and managing top-notch systems that our people rely on throughout their adventures with us. You will work closely with various teams to transform global requirements by refining our Workday/Service Now platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Projects: Dive head-first into designing, analyzing, and developing projects that transform Expedia's global requirements.
• Platform Configuration: Get hands-on with designing, configuring, and rolling out Workday/Service Now module changes.
• Process Improvement: Think holistically to identify opportunities around policies and processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries.
• Technical Analysis: Research and analyze complex technical data using statistical methods.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Join our cross-functional team to tackle system and integration glitches and ensure our data's accuracy.
• Technical Support: Engage with our Devs, Product Masters, Tech Gurus, and Support Engineers to make tech dreams a reality.
• Backlog Management: Support backlog refinement, spring planning, and delivery of committed work by providing technical suggestions, estimating required effort, identifying risks and dependencies, and surfacing impediments.
• Documentation: Craft epic runbooks as your tech recipe book for system TLC.

Who You Are

• Experience: You have 2-3 years of experience in Workday HCM, Compensation, or any additional module configuration.
• Technical Skills: You are skilled in crafting Workday reports and dashboards and have a good understanding of Agile Methodology, Software Development Lifecycle, SOX Compliance, and tools like Jira & Service Now.
• Education: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in information science, computer science, or business, or have equivalent real-world experience.
• Communication: You have stellar communication skills and can coordinate stakeholder input and collaboration efforts when developing solutions to issues.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Range: €86,000 to €120,500 per year, with the potential to increase up to €137,500 based on performance.
