About the Role
Join Expedia Group as a Software Development Engineer II in our Reservations team, part of the Search and Supply organization. This role is pivotal in connecting Travelers with our Supply Partners through innovative reservation systems. You will be instrumental in building cloud-based micro-services and event-driven systems that enhance the interaction between travelers and suppliers.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with team members to co-develop and solve complex problems.
- Proactively reach out and collaborate across teams to solve problems and integrate systems.
- Develop and test software applications to ensure they meet design requirements.
- Apply software design principles, data structures, and design patterns to write clean, maintainable, and optimized code.
- Coordinate stakeholder input and collaboration when developing solutions.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in a team environment with at least 5 engineers.
- Proficiency in API Design, web services, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with Java or Kotlin preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
