About the Role

As a Software Engineer III at American Express, you will be part of a dynamic team that works on building global scale software using a variety of tools and frameworks. You will have the opportunity to work in areas such as machine learning, big data, native mobile applications, backend services, full stack web applications, or UX/UI focused development. Your work will involve using technologies like Spring Cloud, Webflux for reactive Java services, Node.js, and React for web applications, among others.

Key Responsibilities

Develop software applications as part of a scrum team.
Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predict future challenges.
Write code, conduct code reviews, and write unit tests.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and Application Architects to conceptualize and build new products.
Participate in social activities, community service events, and projects with other graduates.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Ability to complete coding questions effectively.
Graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing products or projects in an academic, professional, or personal setting.
Some entry-level software development experience.
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, Rust, Go, Kotlin, Node.js.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $135,000 annually, plus bonus and benefits. The final offer will depend on your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
