Software Engineer III - Front End

Job Overview

Join Walmart's dynamic team as a Software Engineer III - Front End. In this role, you will be part of a team that creates reusable technologies to enhance customer acquisition, onboarding, and merchant empowerment, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders. You will work on optimizing tariffs and assortment in line with Walmart's Everyday Low-Cost philosophy, delivering customized experiences across all channels, including in-store, mobile app, and websites.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop: Engage in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects, collaborating with various engineering teams, including offshore associates.
• Root Cause Analysis: Direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.
• Policy Promotion: Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Business Support: Ensure business objectives are met and business needs are addressed.
• Component Development: Develop components and modules that enhance the UI team's capabilities.
• Cutting Edge Technologies: Work with cutting-edge JavaScript-based technologies to develop maintainable, performant, and elegant features in an Agile, incremental fashion.

Required Skills and Experience

• Programming: Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript ES6, React + Redux, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, REST, highly scalable Web Services, SQL/MySQL/MSSQL, Java.
• Agile Experience: Experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, timeliness, and a desire to write clean, organized code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer Service: Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
• Education: A Master's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
