About the Role

As a Software Engineer at American Express, you will have the opportunity to work on building global scale software using a variety of tools and frameworks. You will be part of a dynamic team that works on projects ranging from machine learning, big data, native mobile applications, backend services, full stack web applications, to UX/UI focused development. You will be involved in developing software applications as part of a scrum team, conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and collaborating with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and Application Architects to conceptualize and build new products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software applications as part of a scrum team.
• Conduct code reviews and write unit tests.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and Application Architects.
• Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies.
• Participate in social activities, community service events, and projects with other graduates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to complete coding questions.
• Graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing products or projects in an academic, professional, or personal setting.
• Some entry-level software development experience.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, Rust, Go, Kotlin, Node.js.
