Position Overview
Join BILL as a Staff Software Engineer in our Credit Risk team, where you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing our financial automation software, specifically focused on credit risk management for small and midsize businesses (SMBs). This role involves architecting and developing high-volume, low-latency systems that are critical to the livelihood of SMBs and contribute to our revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop resilient credit risk services.
- Enhance our platform to unlock new credit opportunities for SMBs.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on product development.
- Mentor and guide other engineers in best practices and advanced technical concepts.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Elixir, and other relevant technologies.
- Experience in credit risk management, preferably business credit risk.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with machine learning model integration and data pipeline design using Kafka and Flink.
