OpusClip is seeking a talented and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Core AI & Growth team. As a leading AI video clipping and editing tool, OpusClip is on a mission to empower everyone to become video creators without the need for editing skills. We support over 6 million creators and businesses worldwide, and we're looking for a passionate engineer to help us innovate and grow.
About the Role
In this role, you will be part of a new team in the US focused on developing our next-generation smart AI editor. This innovative product will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to transform video editing, allowing users to create viral short videos effortlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and data teams to brainstorm, plan, and deploy features that enhance user growth and product value.
- Design and implement robust A/B tests to understand the impact of changes, using data-driven insights to inform decisions and strategy adjustments.
- Prototype and craft innovative products for prosumers and enterprise customers, contributing to our billion-dollar valuation.
- Explore new ideas with advanced AI technologies, such as video editing AI agents and multi-modal video evaluators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in both front-end (e.g., React) and server-side technologies (e.g., NodeJS, Django).
- Strong product and business sense with the ability to build products based on customer needs.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive growth.
- Experience with successful user growth or traffic acquisition projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Mixpanel is a plus.
