Staff Software Engineer - Event Platform Storage

Job Overview

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Event Platform Storage team at Datadog. This role is pivotal in enhancing our Event Platform, which ingests, transforms, and stores events to support over 30 Datadog products. The platform processes data at a rate of approximately 15 million messages per second, requiring a high level of reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Lead Projects: Drive high-priority projects that enhance the platform's resilience and scalability.
Architectural Guidance: Lead architectural decisions for distributed, high-throughput, real-time systems.
Risk Management: Identify system risks and design solutions to mitigate them.
Collaboration: Work closely with partner platforms to integrate and provide critical capabilities.
