Job Description
As an Analytics Engineer at Parafin, you will play a crucial role in organizing and activating the company's ecosystem of data. You will be responsible for architecting business-critical datasets used across the company and ensuring that all teams have access to the same sources of truth. This role involves fostering a data-driven culture, interfacing between data engineering and end users, and improving data tooling and development velocity.
Responsibilities
- Foster a data-driven culture by ensuring easy access to trustworthy and complete data.
- Interface between data engineering and end users to help improve data tooling and development velocity.
- Define and enforce data best practices including data modeling, testing, version control, and cataloging.
- Build efficient, modular, flexible, and reliable datasets that can unlock insights for stakeholders across the business.
- Identify gaps in data collection and work with engineering teams to measure essential aspects of customers and products.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong collaboration skills with data, engineering, product, and business functions.
- Deep expertise in SQL and efficient query writing.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools and technologies such as Databricks, Airflow, DBT, and Reverse ETL.
- Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and communicate data-derived insights.
