About the Role
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Pioneer Square Labs, you will be at the forefront of driving technological innovation and shaping the future of our AI-driven software products. This role is pivotal in leading the development and execution of our technology strategy, particularly focusing on generative AI and software architecture.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Serve as a thought leader and strategic driver alongside the CEO. Engage with customers, business, development, design, and fulfillment teams to understand and influence the product vision and requirements.
- Technical Oversight: Develop and own all technical aspects of the company's strategy. Translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Team Management: Lead a world-class engineering team. Assess, hire, and manage developers, fostering an environment of innovation and high performance.
- Hands-on Involvement: Although strategic, expect to be hands-on with the code when necessary. Write and review production-level code as part of your role.
- Product Development: Drive the development of new products, particularly in the generative AI space, ensuring they meet market needs and maintain competitive edge.
- Customer Focus: Cultivate a deep understanding of customer needs and ensure the product aligns with their expectations for quality and functionality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including experience with LLM prompting, SAAS products, and machine learning.
- Proven leadership skills with at least 5 years of team management experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of executing complex projects successfully.
