Configuration Management Engineer
Location: Tubize, Belgium
Thales Belgium SA, a competence center of Thales, is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to join their team in Tubize. Thales is a global leader in advanced technologies, specializing in Defence, Security, Aeronautics, Space, and Cybersecurity. The Tubize site focuses on the design, development, and supply of critical information systems for Defence, Security, and Aerospace sectors.
Responsibilities
As a Configuration Management Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Definition and Implementation: Develop and implement the Configuration Management system for our Cryptography Solution.
- Consistency Assurance: Ensure the consistency of information within the configuration management system.
- Baseline Establishment: Responsible for establishing reference baselines.
- System Tailoring: Tailor the Configuration Management system, processes, and tools to ensure traceability, quality, and productivity from design to production.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Work with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the application and follow-up of Configuration Management requirements.
- Configuration Monitoring: Participate in the selection of Configuration Items for monitoring.
- Configuration Control Board Management: Organize and manage the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and related activities.
- Phase Reviews and Audits: Participate in phase reviews and configuration audits.
Profile
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a configuration management role.
- Industry Experience: Experience in Defence, Aerospace, or Automotive industries is a plus.
- PLM Experience: Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is advantageous.
- Skills: Self-motivated, organized, with a finisher mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Languages: Fluent in French and proficient in English.
