Job Overview
As a Reliability Programme Manager at ING Belgium, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the reliability of our technology services. You will be responsible for prioritizing improvement projects, contributing to the global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy, and implementing best practices within local IT services and teams. Your role will involve ensuring accurate metrics and reporting on service availability, building a clear vision for reliability, and driving the adoption of SRE practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize Improvement Projects: Identify and follow up on the reliability roadmap to ensure the right projects and requirements are prioritized.
- Contribute to SRE Strategy: Work on the global SRE strategy and roadmap, implementing practices in local IT services and teams.
- Metrics and Reporting: Ensure correct and adequate metrics and reporting on the availability of services.
- Vision and Change Management: Build and communicate a clear vision for reliability and drive the adoption of SRE practices.
- Leadership and Steering: Collaborate with management at all levels, including Engineers, ITAL, ITL, CIO, and ExCo, to steer reliability efforts.

Required Skills and Experience
- Project & Programme Management: Experience in managing projects and programs.
- SRE Practices: Knowledge and experience with SRE practices in large organizations.
- IT Operations and Architecture: Good understanding of IT operations and architecture.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly in English with engineers, team leaders, and all levels of management.
- Continuous Learning: A mindset geared towards continuous learning and adopting SRE market trends.

The Team
You will be part of the Site Reliability department, which consists of six teams, each with their expertise: SREs, API engineers, CoE Testing, IT Continuity, Change/Configuration/Capacity Management, and Major Incident Management. You will report directly to the SRE Lead and collaborate with these teams and global SRE colleagues to make a positive impact on the availability of Tech BE services.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work both on-site and off-site, with 50% of your work time from home.
