Content Developer / Publicist with XML and HTML Expertise

Job Overview

As a Content Developer / Publicist at UWV, you will play a crucial role in the E-Publication project, which aims to transition from physical documents to digital communication. This project allows clients to choose their preferred communication channels. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside editors, visual designers, product owners, and external consultants and developers to create and manage content.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate editorial documents into XML content.
• Develop, maintain, and structure content in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ensure efficient and sustainable content management.
• Program and make necessary technical adjustments to content.
• Build, test, and manage complex letter models in an OTAP environment.
• Oversee the entire development process from the initial editorial document to the final message delivery.

Department Overview

You will be working in the Digital Services department, part of the Client & Service division, which consists of over 1,500 employees. This department is responsible for all client communications via letters, digital channels, and phone. The Digital Services team, with over 150 members, ensures optimal performance of digital channels and manages content for these and more traditional forms of client communication.

What We Expect

• HBO level of work and thinking.
• Solid knowledge of XML, HTML, and XSD.
• Experience with agile working methodologies.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps.
• A proactive and communicative team player who can also work independently.
• Experience within UWV or another government organization is a plus.
• Extensive experience in building and testing complex letters/models in document formatting systems.
• Analytical, precise, and structured work approach.
• A strong testing mentality: it works only when everything works.
• Client-oriented with the ability to translate client needs into practical solutions.
• Curiosity about new developments in ICT and a commitment to keeping your professional knowledge up-to-date.

• A gross annual salary up to approximately €72.5K (senior level) based on a 38-hour workweek.

About E-Publication

The E-Publication project aims to create a UWV-wide facility for composing, formatting, and sending communications to clients. It replaces six letter book systems used daily by approximately 13,000 UWV employees.
