About The Role
CookUnity is seeking a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in forecasting and optimization to enhance our investment strategies in acquiring and reactivating customers. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by applying machine learning and time series forecasting to develop subscriber growth forecasts, focusing on new and returning subscribers, growth marketing, and discounts.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and Own Growth Forecasting Models: Create predictive models for various timeframes (yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily) across media channels such as paid search, social media, and TV. Combine error analysis with customer demand insights to refine forecasts, supporting company budgeting and scenario planning.

Discount Optimization: Develop and manage discount optimization models by category and channel. Analyze model effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend adjustments to improve discount ROI and align with growth and financial objectives.

Spend Insights and Optimization: Analyze channel performance, conduct incrementality tests, and develop regression models for spend optimization. Provide insights into trials, acquisition history, conversion rates, and marketing strategies to enhance budget efficiency and align with CookUnity’s annual goals.
Qualifications

Education: Advanced degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: Over 6 years in marketing data analytics, with at least 3 years in multi-touch attribution. Experience with media mix modeling, marketing measurement, targeting, creative optimization, and user segmentation.

Core Competencies: Ability to lead projects, partner with non-technical stakeholders, and execute data-driven insights using tools like SQL, Tableau, Python, and dbt. Must work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
